Provider briefing resource
Google AI Overview readiness checklist
Use the checklist to define what an AI Search provider should inspect, compare the evidence they return and keep technical work connected to a useful business outcome.
How to use it
Ask for evidence at every gate
This isn't a technical self-assessment or a readiness score. Complete the business brief with the provider, then mark the later points only when they have returned evidence you can understand. An unchecked item is a question to resolve, not proof that the website has failed.
Business brief
Does the provider know which pages and outcomes matter to the business?
Search eligibility
Has the provider shown that Google can reach and use each priority page?
Source value
Has the provider identified what makes the page useful enough to support an answer?
Clear meaning
Do the page and supporting business signals tell the same story?
Delivery and evidence
Can the provider show the work and report progress without overclaiming?
Engagement record
Keep the brief, work and limits together
Use these notes to capture the commercial priority, the provider's findings and the evidence that will be reviewed. The entries stay in this browser and are included in the CSV export.

A complete checklist still isn't a placement promise
The completed brief shows that the provider has addressed eligibility, source value, clarity and measurement for the agreed pages. Google still controls whether an AI Overview appears and which sources it selects, so use the record to judge the quality and transparency of the work rather than to predict a guaranteed citation.
